It's time of the year again- running season with the Singapore Marathon this coming Sunday. I won't be running this year's race, so I won't be able to do much of a pep and review of the race. Nevertheless, here are some notables for this year's race as well as some tips I have in pacing.
Looks like this...
With your registered name, check out your race timings of the race here.
The Nike Human Race was on yesterday, overall I can say it's a rather pleasant race with a few exceptional quirks here and there. The Nike Human Race is one of Nike's comeback races in Singapore after the long discontinued Nike Realrun previously, which was subsequently...
The Singapore Sheares bridge/Singapore bay run/Army half marathon was on this morning. The promise of the new route across the Marina Barrage is well, promising as it sounds and I believe the key selling point of this year's race. I believe with so many new developments sprouting up around the Marina bay area, it's just pleasing to know that...
Sorry for my dated entry. Been rather caught up with work back to back projects. Nevertheless found time to update this very much dated entry which I should last week.
The Poly 50 was on, well last week, the 6th August 2008. This year's race was my third one in the running in SP and it was infact the only...
And just as I thought last year's was the last year Standard Chartered will be organising and title sponsor for the Singapore Marathon, being rumored to be their last, well, last year. Apparently, not so for time to come as well. This year will be a big bump in budget for the professional breaking annual event- up by almost...
Update! The Place, Time and venue are confirmed. The details provided as of here has been accurate, there will be no race at Sentosa as opposed to other rumored conflicting schedules. Register for the run today!
Race pack collection
All participants are required to collect their Race Packs which include Number Bib and Race Chip at the New Balance REAL Run...
The Mizuno Mt Faber race was this morning, I did not run the event but based on feedback and word of mouth together with my own observations, the race went on very well and as satisfying as last year's race, with few improvements here and there. There were very much fewer runners this year too, presumably form the boycott...
Last year's race was great! And after last year's success, VGO will be having their 2nd annual regular go at the Mount Faber run again. For those who are familiar with the brief history is line of Mt Faber races are a resurrection of the annual race many years ago. Just hope the previous experiences of badly organised wave...

Ok here the event info for ya people to row da recycled boats in the Singapore River which we will (ironically) be drinking recycled water from. This is also in response to few inquiries I've received on it as well, so here it goes.
The 20th Anniversary Singapore River Raft Race will be held around mid year this 2008, contrary...

Here we have it, the 2nd official international marathon in Singapore for the 2008 season. Part of the Uniquely Singapore experience starting from the city to the west north up to Mandai. From what I see, the run will be rather scenic and cooling around the water catchment areas (mandai) so be prepared for a rather nice run away...
Behold Singapore's first marathon for the 2008 season! And looks like Formula 1 is not the only one racing at night for now!
The route will take on the spanking new East-North park connectors with 42km under the belt in one loop (hint hint) and 2 loops for the 84km ultra marathon.
It had been time that we get a...
With IVP over, it all looks straight for the New balance realrun tomorrow morning. There will be full road closure from Tanah Merah Coast Road to Airport Logistic Park from 7am - 10am. Despite it's remote location, at least the organizer offered paid bus services and free shuttle buses from Pasir-Ris for those not commuting by private transport. The...
Hey Ladies, here are few of the female-only events lined up for the year. One of the largest women-only running events in Singapore, the Great Eastern Women 10k 2007 which will be held on the 21st October 2007 at Connaught Drive aims to promote health and well-being among ladies. This event has already attracted close to 7,000 female participants...
Run for Hope 2007 is inspired by the courageous story of Terry Fox, a Canadian teenager, who despite an amputated leg due to bone cancer, ran a 'marathon of hope' across Canada to raise funds for cancer research, so that one day a cure could be found. Terry ran an equivalent of one entire marathon a day (42 km)...
