Singapore River Raft Race 15 Jan 06 (Camera Phone Pics)

we have races not only on local opens, but international opens as well
& man were the finals fast!
A clean finish! (wheres the competition?)
rafts made their way in & out here

The day ended with a time record broken
& we have a collision!

Prizes were awarded 10th position onwards

Theres even awards for best looking, innovative rafts.
It's a nice sunny day
not all are lucky to stay balanced thou.
& Track & field came in second overall
& we are the official timers!

Lots of race lineups for the day
& hey where we tried after 4 full hours of timings
& even broke last year's record with a timing of 61s (from 86s) Crowning the grand trophy for track & field!
It's early on a sunday
theres no obligation to dangle $8k of camera over the water too
A good race, next year, we would be competing again & better...

Racing untested hand made rafts can be a challenge in the river
till the next raft event!
