In-N-Out Burger Industry Las Vegas

In-n-out burger is an American regional chain of fast food restaurants in the USA. They operate primarily in the Southwest and the West coast states. They serve really affordable old-style American diner fast food with an old-vibe to go with it. I was around to check out their branch in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Let’s check out what’s all great about this burger joint with a dine-in.

Notably, the Fast food restaurant chain was founded 71 years ago on October 22, 1948. Also, it is worth noting that the In-N-Out Burger chain is somewhat “family run”. The owners had chosen not to franchise its operations or even go public.

Real popular with the Locals

During my visit, the outlet is noticeable really busy, with long snaking queues at the ordering and collection counters. Still, the queues are really fast moving and before you know it you are next to order even before I could decide on a Double cheese or hamburger (I ended up ordering both).

Notably at every In-N-Out Burger branch, the colour white is used for the buildings’ exterior walls and the employees’ basic uniform. The signature colours for In-N-Out are white, red, and yellow. You can find red colours on each outlet building roof and the employees’ aprons and hats. Lastly, the Yellow is often used to top up the decorative band on the roof, as well as the iconic zig-zag in the logo.

Affordable burgers with a smile

Moreover, it is known in the industry that In-N-Out Burger employee-centered personnel policies are one of the reasons why food quality and customer service consistency is one of the best in the industry.

Moreover, the interior layout of each restaurant has a retro vibe to it. The wall are lined with their distinctive coconut tree pattern as similarly found on their drink cups as well.

Additionally, you get tabled diner-style interior seating, a customer service ordering counter with registers in front of a kitchen and food preparation area. You collect your orders from the dispensary counter beside the ordering counter.

Menu choices

Your standard selection is their all popular Single or double cheeseburgers staples. Minus the cheese and you get a Hamburger.

If you are hungry, In-n-out burger largest offering, their Double–Double is a no brainer. Undecided? You can’t wrong with a standard Cheeseburger for starters. You can get a burger for just under $2.55 USD ($4 SGD), with their largest burger costing about $5 SGD.

Moreover, the burger buns are toasted with the beef patties having the traditional grilled taste. Also, their burgers lettuce are really fresh, the insides are well assembled between toasted bun with dressings of melted cheese, tomatoes and sauces.

Cheap and still good-ly

On quality, In and out burgers are not necessarily the best-tasting burgers In fact. They are kind of a sub-par quality when you compare them to gourmet burger options. Additionally, the chain touts a policy of using only fresh meat company-owned facilities. However, I found the quality acceptable.

A tale of two burgers and awesome milkshakes!

It hovers about the MacDonald’s standard and faintly reminds me of Ministry of Burgers Ramlys in Singapore. It is not overly great, but with sufficiently acceptable standards of cheap fast food. That is what American fast food should be.

Additionally, on a comparable datum, I reckon I would place In-n-out Burger almost somewhat below the quality offered by Shake Shack, but at a fraction of the cost. Also, despite being American, one gripe are the small servings. Even their largest Burger, the Double didn’t quite fill me up, until I paired them up with a serving a fries and a milkshake.

Animal Fries, an In-N-out Hidden Menu item

Furthermore, pretty much everything you order comes paired with Fries. You can cook to order choose the “doneness” of your Fries from “light” to “extra well done”. Notably, the company’s French fries are cooked in 100% sunflower oil which the outlet claims is cholesterol-free. Moreover, if you are adventurous, you could consider their Not-So-Secret Menu. Animal Style Fries are their classic fries topped off with their famous spread, a slice of cheese and chopped grilled onions.

Topping it up, In-n-out beverages includes an American selection of soft drinks, shakes, coffee and hot cocoa. Also, their milkshakes are tad like a throw-back to old-day American diners. Additionally, the milkshakes are thick and creamy. It comes in the favourite flavours of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.

In-n-out burger

All in all, In-n-out defines what you know as classical American food. Affordable, cheap and good. I guess what you get is the value which comes with it. This, enabled by notable company’s business practices and paired with quality you can’t really fault. I reckon this is what drives the locals back for more.
