Things.. things.. things too..do..
Family week is coming to an end, hope everybody enjoyed theirs. Cos I did *kinda* enjoyed mine. Yes, I believe not all families are perfect and there are bound to be ups and downs in life, but as all things are like- life just have to carry on and make the best out of it. Hey! thats what family days are for.
Now onto some chores of mine:
Father’s Day is around the corner.
*Super father’s day present- Check!
*Super father’s day card- Check!
Sister’s birthday coming in a week’s time.
*Super birthday card- Check!
*Super birthday present- Darn Outta cash..
Grrr. hope mum will help chip in some cash..
Just watched a clip from the show Animatrix regarding the matrix and I guess that really opened up the matrix story from the beginning. But when you come to think about it, present life is indeed seemingly heading into the path of the matrix beginning, just like in the movie- automation, a second class of working robots and the eventual retaliation and conflicts. I won’t be amused if such things become such a reality in the near possible future. And the robots have their side of the story to tell too, they are not completely the bad guys… as obviously portrayed in the movie itself.. Jus wait and see…
Mmm and today’s friday the 13th.. a lucky day! yea!! time to walk under more ladders and break more mirrors…Currently Listening: Bon Jovi- Undivided
Hans @ great eastern building
Went for dinner at Hans @ great eastern building, partly as it was conveniently located near mum’s workplace and we were really hungry at that time after a long day of work. Also, on a note, I guess Hans had shifted their main bakery operations here from their old Thomspon branch. Think they had decided to “go-public” like breadtalk, good to see more competitors around and hopefully we consumers will benefit with prices wars..
hehe *grinz*
The place, though spacious and posh looking (the floor area is even bigger than the citibank branch next door) the food standard is still not there yet.. And the pastry prices are definitely outrageous- $1.30 for a bagel? Argh! Still prefer the old tradiitonal Hans kitchen style setting, mostly seen at other branches particularly @ Marina Square.
Walked around the nearby Far East China Square area after dinner and noticed a Marche style resturant called “village” in the basement of the shopping area, quite interesting. Mmm, and how did I get to notice that? well, its mostly Follow-the-Plastic-Advert-Bulls, you won’t miss them in the vicinity! Might consider goind there one day… Well, my sister’s is off for a class BBQ with her friends, would be coming back late. House so quiet now, must appreciate the tranquility. Now *fumble* where are my Linkin Park cds…
~Peace~

Phone Firmware upgrade
Watched “Finding Nemo” today at GV marina with my NS friends and our happy ORDing Platoon Sgt. Went to Breeks buffet dinner thereafter after window shopping around the marina-suntec area. Finding Nemo turned out nicer than I expected it to be, and I can say its quite worth every of my $6.50 spent, and yea I kinda like the sea turtle character dude.. 150 years old? no problem!
On some updates I’ve missed- Upgraded my phone’s firmware yesterday, had lunch with my mum at Wisma Jacks place and brought a not-very-new game ‘Freedom Force’ at PK computers Hereen while my phone’s off for 3 hours at the Orchard serivce center. And guess what? they’ve upgraded my SL45 to the SL45i firmware. Coupled with the 128MB TwinMOS card I’ve brought previously, now I can virtually save and run tons of any Java game or application I get my hands on. Not to mention the ablity to store load more songs for my listening pleasure. Didn’t know my phone is so expandable. Lolz!
Mmm its time I updated the downloads page too, its really freakin old, bout 3 years old as a matter of fact! will be working on that tml. Stay tuned!

Phone Modification
BMT has ended, so its more shopping, shopping, outings and it again… Watched Bruce Almighty on friday afternoon with my NS friends @ GV marina, then went to the PCshow 2003 in the evening. There is nothing new in this year’s PCshow, always the same old booths and companys, maybe the only new intro is dell computers setting up a booth for the first time in an exhtibition. After that met my mum at orchard for somemore shopping and dinner. And off, off to simlim yesterday, one of my favorite Simlim bargain stores, G2 is closing down, went there yesterday and they are franticially trying to clear stocks. On a brighter note, hey! I am completed with my mod mod, now with a newly added 3.5mm audio plug the connections would be endless anywhere on any device all for a cost of $2. Furthermore with a new TwinMOS 128MB MMC/SD card upgrade for my phone, more MP3s on the move here I go!
For more mods on the phone check out this mods page.
